Stuxnet: Too Much Hype or Not Enough?


The media is often blamed for blowing things out of proportion just to sell news. I suppose that's somewhat deserved, given the pressures we face to get more eyeballs on what we write just to save our jobs in this Google-run era of journalism. Maybe I'm just too old school, but I still believe that the articles that will be read are those that are well-researched, well-written, and help readers get a better understanding of the subject at hand. In trade publications like Control Design and Industrial Networking, that means reporting on topics that help you do your job better.  read more »

Let's Get Started


Here we go, the most challenging of all steps is the first one so I will start safe (baby steps concept) by sharing with you the topics I hope to cover in this blog:

I intend to have the column focus on networks (including IP based ones), fieldbuses, wireless, and anything have to do with the field level devices (including process analysers). I will also likely touch on Asset Management and related materials as well. VERY broad – as long as it has to do with getting reliable measurements from the field to the Control system.  read more »
